OUR STORY
Associated Fire Equipment is a family owned and operated small business. The company was founded in 1972 by Mr. Lewis Kurter. My wife and I came on board in 1988 and worked at the company for 10 years. We purchased the company in 1998 when Mr. Kurter retired. Our oldest son Jon has worked with us for over 18 years and has stepped into the operations manager position of the company.
Associated Fire Equipment is a member in good standing with NFPA, PAFED, NAFED, and NJFED and has a good working relationship with the local inspectors.
Service/Recharging/Training
We offer 24/7 emergency services to our customers. Our trucks are fully equipped to do most services right on the spot. They are also stocked with various sizes of new portable fire extinguishers and repair parts. Along with servicing and installing fire suppression systems, we also offer live fire fire extinguisher training to your personnel. We are a licensed Hydro-test facility (rin # D278).
SALES
We are distributors for AMEREX Fire Extinguishers, AMEREX CPS system, PYRO-CHEM Restaurant and Industrial fire suppression systems, North American & Key Fire Hose. We also have access to any other brand of fire systems including Ansul, Kidde, Buckeye and Badger. All our technicians are licensed through the National Association of Fire Extinguisher Distributors

Extinguisher Training
We offer onsite fire extinguisher training for all types of customers big and small. We use a live fire training prop instead of those silly video machines. Each training session has a short classroom portion then you and your employees will get to put out a real fire with real fire extinguishers, real heat, and see real fire reaction instead of just point and push a button on a screen.
Suppression System Installation & Service
We can handle all types of suppression system installation and service from food trucks/trailers to full restaurants. Our technicians are factory trained on installation of PyroChem systems and third party certified for service through NAFED.
